The disabled toilet also houses a BABY CHANGE FACILITY. There is a large public playing field and Bowls Green beside the Hall. This is the home of Houghton Bowls Club (click the link to visit their web site).

The MAIN HALL is a little larger than a badminton court and can accommodate up to 96 people depending on the seating plan. It also has a raised stage area with a Proscenium Arch. There is a sound loop for the hard of hearing, the facility to play music and a basic public address system. There is also a piano (may be extra charge for tuning).

The CLUB ROOM can accommodate up to 30 people depending on the seating plan. It is equipped with an overhead projector and is ideal for committee meetings and social events for smaller groups. A number of Leicestershire businesses and voluntary organisations find it a convenient place to hold business meetings in a more relaxed environment. The nearby village pub offers a good choice of lunch and evening menus.

Tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glassware are all provided for use in either room.

DISABLED ACCESS to the building is provided by a recently installed ramp from the pavement on Main Street. A secondary ramp leads from the front door offering easy access to the recreation field and Bowls Green.
